 Our hotel has a rich history dating back to 1729. After a major city fire in 1728, the building was rebuilt on its original foundations. Since then, it has played a significant role in Thorn's history and has housed several prominent figures from the Stift district.

 The name "Crasborn" comes from Nicolaas Crasborn (1839-1919). At that time, our hotel was not only a lodging house – the only one in all of Central Limburg at the beginning of the 20th century – but also housed a grain, flour, and seed business in the old barns. The main building housed a traditional Dutch pub, a dining room, and five hotel rooms on the upper floor.

Since 1970, the hotel has been lovingly run by the Parren family, related to the Crasborn family. The third generation of Parrens is now at the helm. The hotel has become a place where history and comfort merge, with 17 hotel rooms, a restaurant, a charming winter garden, a conservatory, and sunny terraces.
